Hi, everyone! This is my first question on the forum. I'd like to get into graphic design as a hobby. At the moment though, I'm only interested in using an already existing design for a business card as a template for my own (imaginary) business.
I've found with several free templates, but they are all in CMYK profile. Apparently, Gimp 2.8 doesn't support CMYK 'out of the box' and I need a plugin called separate+. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
Ada is a long-time GIMP devotee, but like many of us, she likes to customize her setup. Today she shows us her favorite 5 GIMP plugins.
I've installed the three exe files into C: Program Files GIMP 2 lib gimp 2.0 plug-ins and Gimp didn't show the option separate (under 'image') at all. Upon googling I've found that (although I got no error for a missing dll; the option doesn't show entirely) I need a missing dll to be installed into C: Program Files GIMP 2 bin called. I think the first one I've downloaded was 32bit so I've looked elsewhere for a 64bit compatible dll, but still the plugin/option doesn't show on Gimp. What am I missing here? Thanks, Nathan.
