There has been several question asking how to do this or people just having issues doing it. I have search and did not find very many exact answers, so I wrote this, in hopes that it may help. Another update for your consideration. RSLogix Micro Lite has replaced RSLogix 500 Starter 10 point. It is available on the Rockwell Automation website (see Products/Product Directory/PLCs/MicroLogix/downloads) as a FREE download (no activation or registration are needed). RSLogix Micro Starter Lite supports ALL current MicroLogix 1000 and 1100 controllers. This is many more controllers than the previous RSLogix 500 download allowed.
The software comes with or without RSLinx Classic driver software. Darkest Dungeon Build 75275 here. Without RSLinx, the download is around 32 Mbytes.
Error 1723 Problem With Windows Installer Package here. This edition can be used for offline logic development. If you want to download and monitor a program, you'll need RSLinx Classic (it adds about another 100 Mbytes to the download). Even with RSLinx included, the download is much smaller and installs much more readily. With the smaller footprint, the download was also reduced to a single file.
