Our seniors at our Hill Tribe School in Chiang Mai, Thailand have found 2 programs to get your “Optic Cam” (Built-in swivel, 180 degree Camera, in your Acer Laptop to work. Doesn’t matter Model, if Camera is built in and worked with Windows XP and Windows Vista, but since Windows 7 was installed it has failed. It will now work!!! Logitech Webcam Software (LWS) 1.1x64 w/Vid it will default to upgrade of (LWS) 2.31 w/Vid for Windows 7 X86 and x64 bit One of the programs will give you a new use for Camera.

#2 Logitech Webcam Software is needed for first program to work. But it will not see Camera to take movies / Pictures and such. (Don’t Worry! We have a way around this issue!!) We just removed it from start Program list to not confuse the Kids. Now if you download from Acer, Optic Cam Software for Notebook Model “Aspire E1-431 it will enable the original Camera to work as it did in XP and Vista.
